For gourmands who delight in experiences centered on food, The Resort at Coco Beach presents four food and beverage establishments. Following the passage of Hurricane Maria over Puerto Rico in 2017, Monarch Alternative Capital, acquired the former Gran Meliá Hotel in partnership with Royal Palm Companies, and an affiliate of Aimbridge Hospitality, LLC. The Resort at Coco Beach underwent a significant investment in the property and will create over 300 direct jobs.
